Debbi
L. Klopman, Esq.
Ms. Klopman specializes in
employment-based cases at all
levels from unskilled to extraordinary ability, workplace enforcement
issues
and workforce planning. Ms. Klopman also handles consular processing,
family
based cases, 601 and HIV waivers and naturalizations.
With office locations in Brooklyn and Great Neck, New York, Ms. Klopman handles non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters. She has consulted with the British Consulate General in New York, is listed on their web page, and served as Immigration Counsel to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a non-profit organization of international real estate professionals. Her client roster includes multi-national information technology corporations, Fortune 500 Companies, dental laboratories located in 15 states, high-end Manhattan and area restaurants, gymnastics schools, internationally renowned fashion designers, musicians and their publicists, educational and special needs non-profit organizations, publishers and corporations that handle ADR claims preparation. Ms. Klopman's individual client list includes foreign nationals from 54 countries.
Ms. Klopman received her Bachelor of
Arts Degree from
Brandeis University, and was graduated with a J.D. from Washington
University
School of Law where she was a Dean’s Honor Scholar. She is
admitted to practice
in both Pennsylvania and New York. Ms. Klopman has been a CLE lecturer
and both
partners and associates of area corporate law firms have utilized her
services.
She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)
and is
an active member of the Advocacy Committee of AILA’s New York
Chapter. Ms.
Klopman regularly mentors lawyers in the immigration field particularly
in the
area of labor certification and in cases involving the crossover
between

Susan VonOhlen, Esq.
Ms. VonOhlen has been “Of Counsel” with the office since January, 1998. Ms. VonOhlen was graduated from Fordham University School of Law and had 18 years experience in general practice and Commercial Litigation before joining the office. Trained by Ms. Klopman in Immigration Law practice and maintaining an office on Long Island, Ms. VonOhlen handles many of the office’s appearances, works cases with Ms. Klopman and assists her in cases involving research and ancillary corporate or litigation matters.
