US CIS Case Processing Times:
If you have a pending case, check the receipt number in the
upper left corner. The first three characters of your receipt number indicate
at which service center your case is pending. Additionally, at the bottom of
the receipt notice, there is an address for the service center which is
handling your case. To view the processing time for your case, click the
appropriate link below:

Certain types of cases are handled only at the National
Benefits Center. This Center handles preliminary immediate relative case
processing as well as ancillary benefits such as Employment Authorization
Documents and Advance Parole. A receipt number for a case pending at the
National Benefits Center begins with the characters “NBC”. For processing times
