Debbi Klopman has successfully handled employment-based cases at all levels from unskilled to extraordinary ability and has also successfully managed workplace enforcement issues for both small and larger corporations. She handles both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas and has created programs for corporations to address ongoing labor shortages. Debbi also handles consular processing, family-based cases, U visas, 601a and travel ban waivers.

Debbi devotes a substantial portion of her practice to serve as immigration counsel on film, television and new media productions. With a strong background in the film and television industry, Debbi has handled visas for Academy Award winning films, Emmy/ Golden Globe nominated films, and foreign film and television productions. Debbi received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brandeis University, and was graduated with a J.D. from Washington University School of Law where she was a Dean's Honor Scholar. Debbi has been a CLE lecturer, has been named to the New York Super Lawyers list for the last 5 years, has a 10.0 rating on www.avvo.com, the premium lawyers' directory and has won an Avvo: "clients choice" award for the last 7 years. Debbi is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), is an active member of the Advocacy Committee of AILA's New York Chapter and is an immigration liaison to a New York congressional office. Ms. Klopman regularly mentors lawyers in the immigration field particularly in the area of obtaining visas in the arts and in cases involving the crossover between immigration law and accounting.
