Lucy G. Cheung was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2008, the New York bar in 2010, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 2010, Ms. Cheung practices general immigration law, with a focus on extraordinary individuals, business, corporations, students, education institutions, and family immigration issues.
She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and NAFSA-Association of International Educators, among other organizations. She has been selected to the Rising Stars and Super Lawyer lists from 2015-2025, in the practice area of immigration. Ms. Cheung is currently the AILA USCIS Case Assistance Committee Vice-Chair. She was the chair for the NAFSA ISS-RP Travel Subcommittee from 2018-2020, and a member of the chair stream for NAFSA's Region X (New York/New Jersey) from 2015 to 2017. She previously held the position of Regulatory Ombud for Scholar Issues from 2011 to 2014. Ms. Cheung also participates actively in the AILA national SCOPS and Vermont Service Center Liaison committees. She was a Co-Chair for the AILA New York Chapter's Continuing Legal Education Committee from 2011 to 2013, and was a member of the Distance Learning Committee for AILA national from 2017 to 2019. Ms. Cheung is a frequent speaker, presenter, and moderator on immigration law topics at professional conferences, and at college and university campuses throughout the NY metropolitan area.
Ms. Cheung earned her law degree from New England Law | Boston in 2008, where she received numerous student awards. Additionally, in 2007, she received the Student Award from the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts Scholarship, as well as a Summer Grant from the Public Interest Law Association of New England Law | Boston.
MICHAEL J. GOLDSTEIN, ESQ.
Michael J. Goldstein was admitted to the New York state bar in 2010, and practices general immigration law, with a focus on EB1, EB2, academic institutions, extraordinary and professional nonimmigrant, and family and business immigrant petitions.
He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and NAFSA-Association of International Educators, among other organizations. Mr. Goldstein was selected to the 2016-2020 Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Stars list in the practice area of immigration.* Mr. Goldstein was the Core Education Program Dean for the "Filing Academic H-1B Petition" Workshop at NAFSA. He has been a NAFSA Trainer Corps member since 2015, delivering NAFSA Core Education Program at meetings and conferences throughout the year.
Mr. Goldstein is a frequent presenter on immigration law topics at professional conferences including NAFSA’s regional conferences and state meetings, as well as at college and university campuses throughout the NY Metropolitan area.
Mr. Goldstein earned his law degree from New England Law | Boston in 2009, where he received the New England Scholar Award for his academic achievements. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the Washington University in St. Louis in 2002.
